Downtown portion of RTD light rail temporarily closed for repairs

DENVER — A portion of the light rail system that runs through the downtown area will be temporarily closed Friday, announced the Regional Transportation District.

Starting at 9:30 a.m. Friday, RTD said the downtown length of the light rail system will be shut down for repair work.

The following stations will be affected:

  • 10th/Osage
  • Colfax/Auraria
  • Theater/Convention Center
  • 16th/California
  • 18th/California
  • 16th/Stout
  • 18th/Stout
  • 20th/Welton
  • 25th/Welton
  • 27th/Welton
  • 30th/Downing

During the closures, RTD said bus shuttles will provide service to riders through the affected downtown areas.

All D and H lines will run to the Denver Union Station instead of through downtown, RTD added.

Light rain trains traveling south and west of the 10th/Osage station will not be affected by the repairs, said RTD.

Crews are scheduled to finish work by the evening rush hour, said RTD.
