DENVER — The FBI was responding to a report from the Post Office about a white powdery substance found in north Aurora Tuesday morning.

Aurora Police confirmed that around 7 a.m., they received a report from the Post Office about a suspicious white substance near the area of East 19th Avenue and North Victor Street, which is near Children’s Hospital’s main Colorado Campus.

The Aurora Fire Department also confirmed the incident Tuesday morning, and said the FBI was responding to the reports.

Police could not confirm who discovered the white substance, which was reportedly found inside an envelope. But they did say that after a time, it was determined by fire crews that the substance was likely not hazardous and crews were getting ready to clear the scene around 8 a.m.
