Light rain showers in the metro area Tuesday night turned into heavy snow showers As the temps fell during the night.
A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect until 3 a.m. Wednesday for metro area.

“Snow accumulations may vary largely depending on exactly how fast the changeover from rain to snow occurs,” the NWS said.
The Wednesday morning commute is expected to be snowy and slow.
The storm should move out quickly and warm weather is expected to settle back in across the Front Range on Wednesday and Thursday.
