LITTLETON, Colo. — Wreckage was strewn across Santa Fe near downtown Littleton from a Monday morning wreck, shutting down northbound lanes completely in the area for the morning commute.
Sky2 first spotted the wreck near the intersection of South Santa Fe Drive and West Bowles Avenue around 6:50 a.m. The Colorado Department of Transportation confirmed a short time later that all northbound lanes were closed near the intersection and that southbound HOV lanes were also closed near the wreck.
From the look of the wreckage, some sort of utility vehicle may have been involved in the crash, as a ladder and tools appeared to be sprawled across the northbound lanes. There also appeared to be a downed power pole in the area.
At least one of the cars involved in the wreck was on the grass just off the shoulder of Santa Fe, and appeared to be heavily damaged. There was no immediate word about any injuries suffered by parties involved in the crash.
The roadway was confirmed reopened at 10 a.m.
