DENVER — A Denver-based dispensary hosted Denver’s first marijuana job fair Thursday.
The event was designed to help match job seekers with Denver marijuana employers, said O.Pen VAPE.
Todd Mitchem, chief revenue officer at O.Pen VAPE, said the industry is growing quickly and its important for weed retailers to find qualified professionals to help foster a successful business.
The top 15 marijuana employers reserved space at the job fair, looking to hire individuals in the realms of management, retail, sales, marketing, accounting, IT, quality control and administration, said Mitchem.
“This is a first for the industry and we plan to host similar events in other states,” said Mitchem.
He also said O.pen VAPE has plans to bring on 120 new employees this year.
