BUNCOMBE COUNTY, N.C. — A 9-year-old boy has been told by his school to leave his “My Little Pony” backpack at home because it’s reportedly encouraging bullying.

According to Huffington Post, Grayson Bruce said other students picked on him and called him girly. He also said he was punched, pushed down and called names over the bag. Grayson was asked to leave the bag at home because of the attention it was getting.

Change.org petition has been created, asking that Grayson be allowed to bring the backpack back to school and to crack down on bullying.

Facebook page has also been created in support of Grayson — it has more than 11,000 “likes.”
