COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — Fire crews responded to a three-alarm fire at a Colorado Springs apartment complex Wednesday morning.

At approximately 10:08 a.m., the Colorado Springs Fire Department said in a tweet that crews were on scene for a structure fire at Devonshire Square Apartments at 2770 E. Uintah St.

Shortly before 10:30 a.m., CSFD said the fire was under control, as crews continued to search for additional occupants as well as any other traces of the fire.

Fire officials said nine patients were treated on scene, four of which were eventually transported to a nearby hospital.

The latest update from CSFD, posted in a tweet at about 11 a.m., said that fire authorities and the Pike’s Peak Red Cross were assisting families displaced by the blaze with immediate needs.

The investigation was reported to be on-going.
