AURORA, Colo. — Aurora police released photos of a man they said stole a Honda CRV and used it to drive to stores around the area and rob them.

The black SUV was carjacked in Denver at the Safeway store on 26th and Federal on March 20 around 6:50 p.m., police said.

The same SUV was seen at two business robberies in Aurora. One was later that night at a 7 Eleven store on at 13970 East Quincy Avenue, police said.

The second robbery happened the next day at 6 p.m. at a 7 Eleven at 7451 South Gartrell Road, officers said.

Police said the vehicle was also used in an attempted kidnapping in unincorporated Arapahoe County at the Bradley Station located at 12202 East Arapahoe Road.

Investigators said the same man was seen in surveillance video at both 7 Eleven robberies. They said the suspect is a Hispanic man in his late 20s to early 30s. He is 5-feet-5 to 5-feet-7 and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and jeans.

The Honda CRV has a Colorado license plate of 300-TZJ. It is black and has a 4-inch Iowa Hawkeye yellow bird sticker on the center rear window and another “Once a Hawkeye” sticker on the driver’s-side rear door window.

If you see this vehicle or suspect call 911 ASAP. Anyone one with information about this case is asked to call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at (720) 913-STOP you can remain anonymous and could earn a reward of up to $2,000.
