Nathaniel Tallman murder suspect extradited to Boulder County Jail

BOULDER COUNTY, Colo. — A suspect in the death of Nathaniel Tallman, was extradited from San Diego, Calif. Friday, according to the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office.

At approximately 9 p.m. Friday, 27-year-old Moises Mendez, who is wanted for first-degree murder in connection with the death of Tallman, was extradited from a San Diego correctional facility, said deputies.

Mendez will be transported to the Boulder County Jail on a $1 million bond for first-degree murder and a $500 warrant on bail bond violation, added deputies.

Authorities said Mendez is scheduled to appear in court for a hearing Monday.

Mendez was identified as a suspect and arrested on March 15 along with 58-year-old Russel Britton after Tallman’s body was found in Luck, Wyo.

Thursday, law enforcement identified Daniel Ortiz as a third suspect in the drug-related homicide.
