Plane lands safely at DIA after report of landing gear problem
DENVER — A United Airlines flight from Miami landed safely at Denver International Airport Tuesday night after reporting a problem with its landing gear.
Emergency equipment was dispatched and waited for flight 296, an Airbus A320, to land. That happened at 7:17 p.m.
DIA spokeswoman Laura Coale says the airport received word from the FAA that the flight may have mechanical issues and emergency crews responded per normal procedure.
A statement from United Airlines said, “Flight 296 from Miami landed safely and was towed to the gate in Denver after encountering a nose gear fault message in flight. Passengers deplaned normally.”
