Man wanted on Colo. warrants leads Tulsa police on car chase, shoots self

TULSA, Okla. — A car chase initiated by a man wanted on warrants out of Colorado ended in a shooting in Tulsa, Okla. Tuesday.

According to FOX23, police said they were searching for the suspect when he and another woman led authorities on a car chase that started in downtown Tulsa.

At one point during the chase, authorities said the two switched out of their vehicle and carjacked a white Honda Accord, eventually crashing at the intersection of 31st and Utica Streets.

Officers told FOX23 the chase ended in a murder and attempted suicide.

The woman involved in the chase died when the wanted man shot her in the head, according to police. The man was injured after attempting to kill himself.

Police said the carjacking victim, who remained in the backseat during the chase, was not injured during the incident.
