BOULDER, Colo. — A Boulder-based firm issued a recall on fettuccini alfredo with chicken products due to misbranding and undeclared allergens, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service announced Wednesday.

American Outdoor Products recalled approximately 633 pounds of dehydrated product because the food items were formulated with known allergens milk and wheat, but the allergens are not declared on the label.

FSIS said the products subject to recall are the 7.5-ounce foil pouches of Backpackers Pantry Fettuccini Alfredo with Chicken.

The recalled products were produced July 2, 2013 and have the product number 07/02/2020 printed on the pouch, said the FSIS. These items were sold wholesale, online and to retail establishments nationwide.

The problem was discovered by a retailer in Vermont, which then contacted American Outdoor Products on Tuesday.

No adverse reactions have been reported.
