VAIL, Colo. — The Vail Police Department is looking for a couple who may have stolen $150,000 worth of fur coats from Vail Village retailers.

A retailer reported Saturday that the couple stole a coat worth $95,000, VPD said.

The suspects were described as a tall, thin white male in his 50s speaking in an eastern European language and a shorter white female with dark brown hair in her 20s.

In investigating that case, police discovered another theft of a fur coat worth $45,000 at a nearby store on Monday, also by a couple.

The original couple was not officially named as suspects in Monday’s case, but police are investigating a possible connection.
