Coroner confirms two drivers killed in wrong-way Littleton crash

LITTLETON, Colo. — Two drivers were killed after a wrong-way crash Sunday night in Littleton, the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office said.

Diane Iannella, 66 of Littleton, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident on South Kipling Parkway between West Chatfield and West Ken Caryl avenues.

The driver of a second vehicle, Armanddo Mendez, 39 of Littleton, was pronounced dead later at Littleton Adventist Hospital.

The Colorado State Patrol said alcohol was involved in the accident with one of the vehicles traveling the wrong way on Kipling.

The accident forced the closure of northbound Kipling at Chatfield.
