LAFAYETTE, Colo. — A 6-year-old Greeley boy’s wish was granted earlier this week thanks to the local chapter of the Make-A-Wish foundation.

Make-A-Wish Colorado presented Gabe Daggett, who suffers from chronic kidney disease, with a trip to Walt Disney World at a wish-granting ceremony at the Minimally Invasive Spine Institute in Lafayette, according to a press release from Spinal Elements.

Mickey and Minnie Mouse were on hand to present Gabe with his big dream trip, which was made possible by Boulder spine surgeon Dr. Van Buskir and Spinal Elements.

At the ceremony, Kayla Dagget, Gabe’s mother, said “We are so humbled and thankful that Gabe has been granted a wish from Make-a-Wish. It’s the best gift you never want to receive because it means your child is sick. But I do believe that the anticipation of it, the hope and the excitement has brought a bit of health to our family.”
