DUBLIN — It has taken only a matter of a couple of days for an Irish priest to become a social media sensation. He had a big surprise for the couple getting married in his church Saturday, April 5.

Rev. Ray Kelly stepped up to the altar at the wedding celebration for Chris and Leah O’Kane and sang “Hallelujah,” by Leonard Cohen.

The Associated Press reports video of his performance was at the top of YouTube in Ireland by Wednesday. The clip was first posted on Monday.

Father Kelly’s parish is in Oldcastle, Ireland northwest of Dublin.
