CENTENNIAL, Colo. — A 10-year-old boy who had gone missing is safely back at home Friday morning after a search by Arapahoe County Sheriff’s deputies.
Officials say the boy was put to bed Thursday night by his father but when his mother went to get him from his room Friday morning, he was not there.
He was found unharmed at 8:17 a.m. at 22600 E. Smoky Hill Road, the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office said. Foul play is not suspected and it’s unclear how he left the home.
The boy is white, about 4-foot tall and weighing 50 pounds and wears black plastic glasses. He is possibly autistic.
Several sheriff’s vehicles were in the neighborhood of the boy’s home in the 5900 block of South Odessa Circle looking for him.
One deputy was seen driving away from Canyon Creek Elementary School (6070 S. Versailles Way), where the boy attended, and deputies were also seen on bicycles in the area.
