BOULDER COUNTY, Colo. — The Boulder County Sheriff’s Office received reports Sunday regarding the discovery of two more meatballs containing a suspected rat poison in a private park in Gunbarrel.

Deputies said the meatballs did not appear to have been recently placed in the Buckingham Green Park near the intersection of Buckingham Road and Spy Glass Court in unincorporated Boulder County. Rather, they said they believe the meatballs were placed at the same time as the six meatballs that were discovered Monday afternoon.

Law enforcement advised pet owners to be wary of what their animals eat while walking them in the vicinity of the park.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office at 303-441-4444.

Authorities are offering a $4,500 reward for the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for placing the meatballs.
