DENVER — A portion of Brighton Boulevard will be closed for several hours Monday as Colorado Department of Transportation crews work on emergency repairs to a bridge deck.

Detours have been set up at East 56th Avenue and at York Street to divert traffic.

Because the repairs are being done in the center of the road, both directions of Brighton Boulevard are closed.

CDOT estimates the closure will be at a minimum of six to eight hours, and motorists should expect delays and seek alternate routes.
