AURORA, Colo. — A sketch of a man suspected of trying to kidnap a 14-year-old girl in Aurora this week has been released by Aurora Police.

The incident happened about 8 a.m. Wednesday near East 11th Avenue and North Ursula Street as the girl was walking to Aurora Central High School.

Police say the man pulled up in white Chevy Astro van and opened a sliding door, trying to pull the girl into the vehicle. The girl was able to fight off the attacker and escape. She reported the incident to school officials, who then notified Aurora Police.
The man is described as a Hispanic in his early 20s. He is 5-foot-4 with a heavy build, short cropped hair and a scar near his left eyebrow. He was wearing a black puffy winter-style jacket and navy blue/gray shorts.Anyone with information is asked to call Det. Sgt. Marc Paolino at 303-739-6120 or Det. Sgt.
