BROOKLYN, N.Y. — People gathered in Brooklyn Saturday to pay homage to Adam “MCA” Yauch of the Bestie Boys, who lost his battle to salivary gland cancer May 4, 2012.

In light of his passing, fans created MCA Day, an annual tribute that celebrates the life, music and humanitarianism of Yauch.

For this year’s event, four men dressed as Buddhist Monks, to acknowledge Yauch’s strong Buddhist beliefs and his advocacy for Tibetan freedom, made the day memorable when they descended upon the unsuspecting crowds and busted out some killer breakdancing moves.
