DENVER — The National Weather Service briefly issued a Tornado Warning for central Lincoln County Thursday afternoon.
The warning was issued at 3:30 p.m. Radar indicated a tornado was 8 miles southwest of Hugo or 18 miles southeast of Limon. It was moving east at 15 mph.
The warning expired at 4 p.m.

Two storms collided in the area, which can often cause small tornadoes, said Pinpoint Weather Chief Meteorologist Dave Fraser.
Law enforcement in the area confirmed a tornado touched the ground, the NWS reported. It stayed in a field and did not cause any damage.
Wednesday afternoon parts of eastern Colorado were rattled by severe storms that produced several small tornadoes.
No damage or injuries were reported from the twisters that mainly centered in Weld and northeastern counties.
