LONGMONT, Colo. — Longmont Police are looking for one or two men in connection with a string of “smash and grab” burglaries at four stores in the city.
Police describe the males as possibly white or Hispanic with lighter complexions, about 6-foot tall with thin builds. They were wearing hoodies and a bandana covering the lower half of their faces. They also wore gloves.
Police say the suspects are wanted in burglaries at AT&T (589 S. Hover St. #200 on April 6), two Diamond Shamrocks (902 Main St. on April 22 and 680 Frontage Road on May 6) and Centennial Lanes (110 E. Ninth Ave. on May 7).
Police say in the AT&T burglary, one suspect broke the front glass door with a rock and stole items.
At the Diamond Shamrocks, the suspects used a rock to break the glass front door at one location and a ball-peen hammer at the second station, and took cash drawers.
At the Centennial Lanes location, one suspect broke a glass door and pried open another door, though no property was reported stolen.
Police believe all four cases are related based on the nature of the burglaries and the description of the suspects.
At one of the burglaries, responding officers reported seeing a yellow pickup truck with black stripes but they do not know if it is involved in the string of burglaries.
Anyone with information is asked to call the Longmont Police Department at 303-651-8501 or the Northern Colorado Crime Stoppers at 800-222-8477.
