3 DougCo police/military attack dogs stolen, deputies say

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. — Three police/military dogs were stolen from a private kennel in Douglas County overnight Friday.

According the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to the Gunbil German Shepherds private kennel at 14360 Arfsten Rd. Saturday on reports that three police/military attack dogs, two males and one female, had been taken from the premises.

Deputies said they believe the dogs were taken sometime between 10 p.m. Friday and 5:30 a.m. Saturday.

They said the kennel is a private business that breeds and trains police and military dogs.

The owner of the kennel told police that the three stolen dogs are very valuable pure-breed German Shepherds and  highly trained attack dogs.

Authorities advised that people not try to approach these dogs if they know of their whereabouts because the they are considered to be aggressive towards other people and animals.
