Shooting at Syracuse and 23rd Ave. sends 1 to hospital, police say

DENVER — Denver Police responded to reports of a shooting at Syracuse Street and 23rd Avenue Saturday morning.

At about 11:40 a.m. Saturday, the Denver Police Department tweeted out a breaking news notification, stating that officers were on scene at a shooting in the 2200 block of Syracuse.

DPD reported that one individual had been transported to the hospital and was in critical condition. However, police said the victim was able to speak and was talking with officers.

They did not have any suspect information available at the time.
