Public help requested after Boulder father reports suspicious incident

BOULDER, Colo. — Boulder Police responded to a residence Tuesday evening after a father reported a suspicious incident involving his 3-year-old son and a suspect vehicle.

Officers arrived at 1000 Grant Pl. in Boulder at approximately 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.

The father told police his son was standing on the sidewalk in front of their home when a car drove by, then backed up and rolled down the passenger window.

It seemed like the driver was trying to get his son into the car, the father said.

As the father approached the vehicle, it drove away and parked about a block down the road, where it sat until the father and son went inside their home.

The 3-year-old told his father the driver had asked his name and if he’d like to go see a movie.

Police described the vehicle as a canary yellow Subaru or Toyota sedan with dark-tinted windows and Colorado license plates.

The driver was described as either a white or Hispanic male with dark hair.

Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to contact police at 303-441-3333.
