SAN ANTONIO — The air conditioning failed and the AT&T Center turned into a sauna during Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Thursday night.

Miami Heat star LeBron James missed the final four minutes because of cramps, and the San Antonio Spurs charged to a 16-3 run to win the game, 110-95.

James is taking a lot of flak in the basketball world after his left leg cramped up and he had to be carried off the floor to the bench. He didn’t return to the game.

And while basketball fans went after the four-time league MVP, so did Gatorade’s Twitter account, which had a couple of hilarious replies to people who thought James was a client.

Ouch.

After graduating from high school and entering the NBA, James signed a deal with Gatorade competitor Powerade.

Game 2 in the best-of-seven series is Sunday night.
