Rockies select 41 players during 2014 First-Year Draft

DENVER — Saturday, Colorado Rockies announced the team had concluded its 2014 First-Year Player Draft.

By the completion of the three-day draft process, the Rockies had selected 41 players, including Denver native, left-handed pitcher Kyle Freeland, according to a release from the club.

During the draft, the Rockies selected 22 pitchers, 16 right-handed pitchers and six left-handed pitchers, as well as three catchers, 11 infielders and four outfielders.
