Deputies: ‘High risk’ teen escapes from custody

JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. — A teenager authorities have described as “high risk” has escaped custody in Jefferson County.

The 14-year-old was being transported from the Jefferson Hills Youth Treatment Center in Aurora to a court in Jefferson County.

Somehow he escaped from the courthouse around 2:40 p.m.

A spokesman for the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office said authorities were looking for the teen. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans and red Jordan shoes.
