FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Another day, another senior prank at graduation. This time, it will cost a student his diploma.

A senior at Jack Britt High School in Fayetteville, N.C., who took off his cap and gown and stripped to his underwear after walking across the stage at a graduation ceremony will not receive his diploma, Superintendent Frank Till Jr. told the Fayetteville Observer.

Quinton Murphy can be seen in a YouTube video walking across the stage, then turning toward the crowd, pulling his robe over his head and posing with his arms in the air. He was only wearing leopard-print briefs, socks and shoes when he took off his gown.

“Our schools have worked so hard,” Till told the newspaper. “It used to be that the audience would be disruptive at graduation. We’ve worked hard to get the audiences to respect our students. This young man chose not to show respect for his colleagues.”
