GREELEY, Colo. — Greeley Police responded to a residence early Saturday after receiving reports that a man on the premises had a gun.
Officers arrived at a home in the 700 block of 7th Street in Greeley shortly before 1:40 a.m. Saturday were they contacted a male suspect, according to the Greeley Police Department.
Shots were fired and the suspect sustained bullet wounds, police said.
The male suspect was treated on scene and then transported to the Northern Colorado Medical Center.
Greeley PD said none of the officers involved in the incident were injured.
Police and the Weld County District Attorney’s Office are investigating the officer-involved shooting.
Early Saturday evening, police said that the suspect at been declared deceased due to his injuries.
