Wheat Ridge police search for armed bank robbery suspects

WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. — Two men robbed a bank at W. 44th and Harlan streets in Wheat Ridge Tuesday afternoon and left with an undisclosed amount of money.

According to the Wheat Ridge Police Department, the robbery occurred at the Wells Fargo bank located at 6000 W. 44th St.

People from inside the bank called police to notify them of the incident.

Witnesses told authorities that two Hispanic men with bandanas over their faces and wearing white tennis shoes entered the bank. The suspects, who were armed, demanded money and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.

The armed men left in a black Honda SUV with plate number 075-TNN.

Police said this vehicle is registered in Denver and has been reported as stolen.
