St. Louis man accused of traveling to CO to have sex with mother, 2 daughters
DENVER — A 61-year-old St. Louis man was arrested at Denver International Airport after authorities said he came to Denver to have sex with a mother and her two daughters.
Darwin Gowen made contact with person he thought was a 37-year-old mother of two but was actually an undercover Homeland Security Investigator in Greeley.
According to the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Colorado, Gowen said that he was “a 60-year-old male, widowed . . . wanting to experience the wild side of life.”
He also said he “adored chubby girls” and was “looking for naughty daughters . . . who love to hook up with a kinky mom for mom daughter fun,” said Justice Department spokesman Jeff Dorschner.
When he landed at DIA, Gowen met a female HIS agent at the luggage check and “after the two discussed that he flew to Denver for the express purpose of having sex with the two minor children, he was arrested,” said Dorschner.
“Individuals who travel to have sex with minors are dangerous, as there is always the chance that they communicate with a vulnerable woman with children as opposed to an undercover agent,” said U.S. Attorney John Walsh. “Thanks to the work of HSI, another person who was planning to sexually exploit innocent children now faces criminal charges.”
Gowen faces charges including traveling with intent to engage in illicit sexual conduct and attempted coercion and enticement.
