Park Hill July 4th parade has small-town feel in heart of the big city

DENVER — The fifth edition of the Greater Park Hill Parade was better than ever this year.

Thousands lined 23rd Avenue to sport red, white, and blue while watching cars, bands and politicians wave and throw candy to kids of all sizes along the route.

“We hope to give people a parade that has that old time fee l… that small town feel, right here in the middle of the big city,” said organizer Justin Bresler. “This year more than 60 entries in the parade, and it continues to grow each year.”

From the Mayor to city council members, the neighborhood parade – which runs from Cherry to Kearney Streets—also provides an opportunity for neighbors to socialize and have some fun on the Fourth, before fireworks begin flying.
