CABOT, Ark. — Rick Ellis went to a cemetery on the fourth anniversary of his daughter’s death. She was 6 when she was killed by a drunk driver, who Ellis says was the girl’s mother.

He presses record on his phone.

“I’m gonna tell you something. Life isn’t about getting high.  I’m kind of speechless right now.”

After a pause, he continues.

“If I can help anybody, I want you to listen to me.”

He then talks in an honest and pained way, wanting to show what happens when you “get drunk, play around and be stupid.”

He posted the video to his Facebook page and the video has gone viral.

Prayers are with you. My step daughter has an addiction to pills, she has 3 small beautiful children. When she pulls up at the house or I see her somewhere and she has those babies in her car, my heart stops. Nothing can be said or done to her to make her understand she will either kill herself, those babies, or someone else because of her behavior. I am going to share this video in hopes it reaches her. She has already had her kids taken from her and that has not straighten her up. I’m at a lost of what to do. Again, sorry for your loss and you are in my prayers
