Teenage girl wounded in Lowry-area shooting

DENVER — A teenage girl was wounded by a gunshot Sunday evening near 1100 Rosemary Street, the Denver Police Department reported.

The incident happened about 8:45 p.m. The girl, reportedly between 13 and 15 years old, suffered injuries to the arm, police said.

Witnesses said the victim’s family was involved in a fight with another family.

The wounds did not appear to be life-threatening, DPD said. A suspect was arrested within minutes of officers arriving.
