Search underway for puppy stolen during weekend pet adoption event

FORT COLLINS, Colo. — An animal rescue organization is looking for a puppy they believe was stolen during a weekend pet adoption event during the weekend.

Rescue staff say they think a teenager who tried to adopt the puppy took it from the event Saturday.

All Aboard Animal Rescue says the missing dog is a 5-month-old tan and white male Chihuahua named Siberia.

The 16-year-old was denied adoption because of her age, so the girl toward workers she was taking the paperwork to her mother. After that, staff noticed the puppy was gone. That’s according to a report filed with Fort Collins Police.
