Interstate 25 reopens ahead of schedule, in time for morning commute
DENVER — The closure of Interstate 25 in Denver ended earlier than scheduled Monday morning, with traffic flowing through the area ahead of the morning rush.
The project is expected to bring improved traffic flow to northbound Interstate 25 between Santa Fe Drive and the U.S. 6 interchange by creating a fourth through lane.
The closure of northbound and southbound lanes of the interstate opened before the scheduled time of 5 a.m.
The Colorado Department of Transportation said the closures consolidated more than one month of work by restriping and shifting northbound lanes into the weekend.
