Westminster woman faces murder charge after allegedly killing husband who beat her
WESTMINSTER, Colo. — A woman who allegedly killed her husband with her car after he hit her in the face has been charged with first degree murder, District Attorney Dave Young’s Office announced Wednesday.
Nancy Jo Arias, 38, was allegedly involved in an argument with her husband in the 2700 block of West 72nd Avenue about 12:30 a.m. Monday, the D.A.’s Office said. While the couple was fighting inside the car, 38-year-old Phillip Lobato allegedly hit his wife in the face several times.
Lobato subsequently exited the car, leaving his wife inside. The vehicle then struck him, inflicting fatal injuries, police said.
Arias stands charged with first degree murder and vehicular homicide in the case. She is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday.
