Strong storms hit parts of Colorado Saturday

DENVER — Strong storms developed over parts of northeastern Colorado Saturday afternoon.

Storms were expected to continue into Saturday night. Fans going to see the Denver Broncos play the Houston Texans and Colorado Rockies play the Miami Marlins should be prepared.

A line of storms brought a Severe Thunderstorm Warning to Larimer and Weld counties Saturday afternoon. Rain was falling at the rate of 1″ an hour in some places.

Sunday was expected to be a drier day with highs in the low 80s. ;

The next good chance of rain in metro Denver looked like it would arrive on Tuesday.
