Southwest Denver deaths ruled murder-suicide

DENVER — The deaths of a man and a woman in southwest Denver on Saturday night has been ruled a murder-suicide, the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner said Tuesday.

Police responded to reports of a shooting in the 1800 block of South Knox Court about 8 p.m. Saturday. On Sunday, the Denver Police Department said the deaths appeared to be a domestic violence incident.

The coroner’s office said Santy Orozco-Uribe, 26, died from a gunshot wound that was determined to be a homicide.

Jose Ibarra-Corral, 24, also died from a gunshot wound that was determined to be suicide, the coroner’s office said.
