Teenage son accused of fatally stabbing mother in Sedgwick County
SEDGWICK, Colo. — A woman died of multiple stab wounds on Tuesday and her 18-year-old son has been taken into custody, the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office said.
Deputies were called to a residence on McKinstry Avenue north of Highway 138 about 7 p.m., the sheriff’s office said.
Patricia Skraback, 62, was found suffering from multiple stab wounds. She was taken to Sedgwick County Hospital where she was later pronounced dead.
Her son, 18-year-old Steven Skraback, was identified as the suspect and taken into custody. He is due in Logan County District Court on Thursday afternoon to be advised of the charges.
The case remains under investigation.
Sedgwick is near the Nebraska border about 170 miles northeast of Denver.
