DENVER – If you’re looking for some fun and interesting places to visit this week we have a few suggestions for you!
First things first: St. Mary’s Glacier. It’s only about a 45-minute drive from Denver and the hike is roughly 1.5 miles round trip. The scenery throughout the hike is stunning. From a gorgeous forest to a breathtaking lake. Plus, you can have a snowball fight up there in the summertime!
Further out West is the town of Rifle. Folks who live there nickname it ‘The Everything Bagel,’ given its vast selection of outdoor and indoor activities available for anyone to enjoy. From mountain biking to music festivals, there’s plenty to do. Rifle features some of its events on its official website and Chamber of Commerce website.
Last but not least, one of the best mountain pass drives in all of Colorado: Kebler Pass. At 10,000 feet in elevation, this pass provides some of the best views the Rocky Mountains have to offer. You’ll be greeted by endless fields of colorful wildflowers and millions of aspen trees. The pass is located between Crested Butte and (near) Paonia State Park.
