Aurora police, FBI searching for bank robbery suspect

AURORA, Colo. -- Police and the FBI are asking for the public's help in finding a man who is accused of robbing a bank on Tuesday afternoon.

The man entered the U.S. Bank at 2990 S. Peoria St. just before 4 p.m. wearing a dark shirt, dark baseball hat and sunglasses.

But the Aurora Police Department said it's the man's tattoo that is a real giveaway. It's a tribal-style tattoo on his left upper arm that has a looping swirl and two circles.

Investigators said the suspect is a white man, 20 to 30 years old, about 5-foot-8 with a thin build and brown hair. He was last seen going north on foot from the bank.

There is a $2,000 reward being offered in the case. Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI at 303-313-6810 or Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.
