Driver says her window was shot out on I-25 in Colorado Springs
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — A woman driving on Interstate 25 said her window was shot out Wednesday morning, KRDO reported.
It happened near the Interquest Parkway exit, according to KRDO. That’s near the Air Force Academy.
The window shattered but the woman was not hurt.
KRDO posted a photo of the small SUV parked on the shoulder of the highway with a sheriff’s office vehicle behind it.
The case is still under investigation.
In the spring of 2015, at least four people were shot in northern Colorado, sparking concerns that there was a sniper shooting people at random.
Milliken woman Cori Romero was shot on Interstate 25 while entering I-25 from Harmony Road in Fort Collins on April 22; Windsor cyclist John Jacoby was shot and killed on May 18; a person was shot at near Denver Drive and East 18th Street in Loveland on June 3; and Bill Connole was shot and killed at East First Street and St. Louis Avenue in Loveland later on June 3.
Investigators believed the shootings were connected and the FBI offered a $50,000 reward in the case.
