GARFIELD COUNTY, Colo. — A fugitive being sought nationwide might be in the Mamm Creek area, the Garfield County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday.

The vehicle of Leonard Hendricks, 51, was found at the end of West Mamm Creek southeast of Rifle about two weeks ago, the sheriff’s office said.

Hendricks is wanted on a nationwide outstanding warrant. The sheriff’s office said he is a noncompliant registered sex offender and is a person of interest in a recent incident in the Mamm Creek area.

The sheriff’s office did not specify what the recent incident was.

Anyone who sees Hendricks should call 911.
