ELIZABETH, Colo. -- Two people were trapped when a building being used as a storage shed collapsed about 3 p.m. Sunday, Elizabeth Fire Rescue said.
Officials said the outbuilding was being torn down by a male and female when the roof collapsed. Firefighters were able to get the victims out.
The male victim is in critical condition and was airlifted to a hospital. The woman was transported by ambulance, the fire department said.
The outbuilding was on the victims' property in the 34000 block of Columbine Trail, officials said.
It is unknown what caused the roof to collapse.
