Local man uses crowdfunding to release new board game

DENVER -- It seemed like the only game anyone played this summer was Pokemon Go. But some might be surprised to learn that board games, not video games, are bigger than they’ve ever been.

Board game meet-ups are a growing trend in Denver, according to a representative for Denver Central Games.

“People come in,” he said. “They bring their board games. There’s a guy that literally brings a tub he could lay down in, full of board games.”

One man gave up his video game design career to create a board game, thanks to crowdfunding.
