BOULDER COUNTY, Colo. – The family of a missing Lafayette man is hoping a dramatic increase in their reward may help them find their son. The family is now offering $100,000 for information on his whereabouts.
Ryder Johnson, 20, left work on January 17 around 3:00 p.m. and his car was found not too far away later that night at Gross Reservoir and that’s been it.
Despite weeks of searching the area, no other signs of Johnson have turned up.
Investigators have used drones, boats, and K-9s, but have turned up with nothing.
The Boulder County Sherriff’s Office has not ruled out foul play, but some believe Johnson decided to take off on his own.
The $100,000 reward is being funded by the family and private donations. There is a deadline of January 17, the anniversary of Johnson’s disappearance.
