Denver couple promotes #gaysfortrump with live stream

DENVER — A Denver couple is making waves worldwide for their nightly #gaysfortrump live stream — showcasing how gay men can be supporters of the Republican Party.

“We are Americans first, we may be gay, but we are Americans first,” Bobby  Leonard said.

Leonard and his partner Patrick Skorjanec have been together three years and have been live streaming for about three months. They’re answering questions from supporters and non supporters around the world. Thousands tune into their evening live stream.

Leonard and Skorjanec live streamed for FOX31 political Reporter Joe St. George Tuesday — answering questions well beyond social issues.

“As a gay man what rights don’t I have right now,” Leonard told a questioner during the stream.

Topics included Clinton’s emails, health and past accomplishments.

The question is whether or not Leonard and Skorjanec are part of a growing movement or an anomaly.

While Trump did mention protecting LGBTQ Americans during his convention speech, the official republican platform still advocates for marriage between a man and a woman.

A survey of LGTBQ voters over the summer showed Clinton with an 84-16 lead.
